Googling the error I have found two other instances of users having the exact same issue, both within the last few weeks so it looks to be a recent thing. I have no idea how to proceed next really so looking for some advice. I since re-installed Silverlight directly from Microsoft and I thought this had fixed it as I haven't had the fake page when using Chrome since, however I have just had the page appear again, this time in GeForce Experience when updating my GPU driver. I have since reste my router to factory settings and uninstalled all programs installed around the time this started - Microsoft Silverlight and Amazon Music. ![]() I presumed I had somehow managed to be infected with Adware or somesuch but Scans with Malwarebytes, Spybot and Windows Defender have all come up blank. This page has appeared in both Chrome and IE and also in Steam. Browsing to this page displays the same Adobe flash update that I received (see jpeg attachment) along with the dubious download it wants you to do (something I haven't done). After a little while I checked out some of the links on the page and found one which seems to be the actual page itself. Pressing refresh would get rid of it and take me to the site I wanted to go to. ![]() This started probably a week or so ago whereby seemingly at random when browsing to websites (not any in particular), on the load of the site an Adobe Flash player update would display. ![]() I'm having a strange issue with a fake Adobe Flash update page being displayed at various times and in various applications on my laptop.
